I really like the opening scene from Ghost in the shell: Innocence.

Here's a scene from one of my favorite films, Walkabout:
Last year, I couldn't find many scenes from this film on either YouTube or DailyMotion, so I decided to extract this from my own DVD and upload it myself. I was surprised to see that this clip already has more than half a thousand views, and more than a dozen favorites.

Movie is Sword of the Stranger. I've never been a big fan of anime movies, but this movie was amazing, I enjoyed it a lot. The animation, voice acting, and music score is all top notch. To me this movie was kind of like Rurouni Kenshin on steroids.
Start at 6:00 and be sure to watch in full screen. This scene gave me chills when I first saw it. What makes this scene important is that he vowed to never release his sword again, so throughout the entire movie you never can really gauge how good of a fighter he is, but he breaks his promise, defeats an entire army, almost kills himself, and does it all to save a little boy and his dog.
Start at 2:20. The very last fight was really amazing as well.
