Just under a year, but that was the year I took "off", in between finishing high school and deciding to go for further education or not, and I was still living with my parents which made that level of seclusion possible. In the end, I moved out to live on my own. I go out to get ramen and crap every couple weeks. I also like to go out for walks at night time and look at the stars on occasion.

I work, so maybe if I have a few days off right next to eachother, I'd say 2-3 days...
I like going outside, but there are times where I really just want to run to my house and hide for days... but because I work, and really need money, I can't really do that...
I'd stay home for days, maybe even weeks, if I somehow could take care of myself without having to go outside... well, out in public...
going outside to, like, garden or walk outside to get sun or something, I'd do that, just so I don't become paler than pale...

Since I'm in High School, I spend a few minutes outside everyday waiting for a bus. The longest I've gone is the two months I've got Summer Break for.

About two months. When I still lived with my parents, I would stay inside during the summer holidays playing computer games. Sometimes I went outside in the garden, but that's all.

These days I can't stand not stepping outside for an hour or two. There's not much people around anyways so it's not that nerve wracking.

4 or 5 months when first became a shut in. Now I go outside everyday.

Several days - I only went out because I had to get food for my cat and to see the doctor. Otherwise, I would have quite happily spent a fortnight or more at a time never leaving the house. It's not things that scare me - it is some people.

I'm not sure, though knowing me, probably a day. While I tend to distance myself from people around me, I don't remain in the house much. I like to get out and go places for the sake of travel, not because I have a huge social life.

if it were up to me id be allowed to be left alone with my computer and my guitar but school and crap..life sucks

Nearly went a year, but I could'nt find anyone willing to cut my long locks off at home.
One overcast rainy day I snuck out and had my hair cut short. Was back home in 20 minutes.

I get out at least a couple of times a month, but only because I have to (to go to the store, appointments, etc.). I'd love it if I never had to go out at all.

Not including stepping out to remove garbage, a bit over a month (sometimes even close to two), many times; I only get out when I have to, and as an independent adult (with health issues at that), something will always come up within a couple months' time. I'm even trying to minimalize on "having to" these days... like many of you, it'd be just wonderful to me if I could deal with everything from home.

When I was 13-17 years old I stayed a lot in my room on holidays and didn't go outside.
But now as I have a few friends I meet them regularly. So I won't stay much longer than a few days in my room on holidays.

I'd say probably a few months while I was in my teens and wasn't seeing a doctor. I remember trying to answer this thread a long time ago, but I could not decide how long it was.

i had to take the trash out at some point. it was so cold out there. but no longer than a month. i don't have a problem with the outdoors in particular, but i did find the sunlight to be painfully bright.

During the summer holidays when it's hot as hell (read: 80 degrees, I'm a wimp) I pretty much just lay around doing nothing but basking in the fan for weeks and weeks. Even when I worked, it was only shitty fast food so I'd call in sick a lot...because it was too hot to move.

If it weren't for school, I probably wouldn't ever go out. I'd find an online way to make money enough to support myself, or maybe if things got real bad and I couldn't find online work/couldn't bear the outside any longer I'd probably whip up some shitty romance novels and live off the proceeds till one of my evil relatives died and dropped some loot I could live off of for a while.

Four more years of guilt-induced schooling...then I can hermit it up for real. Er. Unless someone is crazy enough to offer me a job. I'd feel too guilty not to take it, and it'd be probably a decade more of mornings going "arrrrrrgh no no don't want to go outside no no" and evenings hiding under the blankets.

All this, of course, doesn't count the time I spend loafing about outside on the deck or the patio...but I live in ass-fuck nowhere so there's no interaction involved in that. Unless you count me running from the damn wasps any time there isn't snow on the ground.

You literally run for your life from wasps whenever it isn't snowing? Remind me never to travel to that part of the country.

It's not so bad usually in this area, I think we just have a shitton of nests on/around the house I live in because it's yellow and gets nice and warm in the daytime. It also probably wouldn't be so bad if I got off my ass and did some hive destruction once the freeze killed them off...but it's been in the 30's at night here lately and, what do you know, the bastards are still out and buzzing around.

...it'd also help if the hives were reachable by something other than a power washer...damn things are like 12-14 feet off the ground. And I sure as hell ain't going up on a ladder to say hay to them.

I got off the planet on my sailboat and hid in the Jumentos not seeing another person for quite a while. I caught conch, fish and lobster. I had solar panels and a water maker on the boat and wind gen so I was good for ages. I would love to back there but I just sold the boat.
