My favorite TV-show for the past few years would have to be Family Guy. No other show makes me laugh as much as it.

I watched Wife Swap but haven't used the TV for months.

It isn't even justifiable to pay for television these days in my opinion. There are so few television shows that are worth watching. The few shows that are worth watching can simply be downloaded in high-quality and completely stripped of commercials (I detest advertising of any sort which is one reason why I don't care much for television anymore.)

I rarely watch TV anymore (though I have a huge one in the room so it's mostly on, with the sound off...), but moy favourite show was The Shield. Too bad it's done, best show ever as far as I'm concerned.

I also keep up with Burn Notice, Criminal Minds, House M.d. and South Park. Y'know, whenever I feel like it.

I have to mention 3 shows: Babylon 5, Star Trek Voyager and The Twilight Zone. I'd also hate to miss Outer Limits and Lassie. (I have a thing for collies.)

When it comes to Outer Limits and Twilight Zone, do you mean the original series' from the 50's/60's, or the newer series' from the 80's/90's?

As a kid, I loved 'The New Outer Limits' series from the 90's. I found that it was a much better show than The X-Files was. X-Files became overly banal after a while. The shows seemed to be heavily recycled during the last couple seasons since the writers must have obviously run out of ideas. I was never worried about Outer Limits becoming banal since every episode was a completely fresh story involving a new cast of actors.

Anyway, it wasn't until this year that I watched an original episode of Outer Limits.

I haven't seen a lot of the original Outer Limits episodes, so I'm referring to the modern series.

Where Twilight Zone is concerned, I have mostly watched the old episodes, so I was mainly thinking of them. But I like quite a few of the new series, too.

I used to like X-files, too, but they really lost it in the last seasons when they got so caught up in the alien conspiracy. It ended up feeling like a chore to watch the show; I was actually relieved when it was over. Really a pity, it used to be such a good show.

The modern Outer Limits series kicked so much ass. I wish that show was still around. It seriously was my favorite show as a kid. I liked it so much that my mother would let me stay up an hour later so that I could watch it the night it played. I'd always go to bed immediately after watching it. Some episodes would creep me out quite a bit, so it would take me a little while to fall asleep some nights. I think I started watching the show at age ten or so, possibly younger/maybe a bit older, not sure. It was around that age though.

Chair already commented on what annoys me most about television: the advertisements. I am not interested in car insurance, Birds Eye frozen food, or anything else like that. I just want to watch the fucking show, what the fuck is the license for?

Therefore, I do exactly what Chair mentioned - I download everything.

Here are some of my favourite TV series:
Cheers, Eastenders, River Cottage, Blackadder, Perfect Strangers (Well, this was a mini-series), Daria, That 70's Show

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. I wish it was still on that a new generation would see it. From what I've seen the people in my town could well do with an education on the effects of elitism and violence.

I've just started watching House a couple of weeks ago, and I really like it... And I used to watch My name is Earl until it got cancelled.

I really miss Red Dwarf. The only sitcom that i thought was anywhere near as good was Black Books.

I watch most stuff online, but I still like to watch Discovery, Biography, History Sy-fy, G4 and local stations on the tv. As for shows that I like the most: House, Mythbusters, Eureka, the Universe series, cartoons from time to time... I really like the show Dexter, as several of you also do, but I don't get Shotime. That is one that I have to find online. Pretty much all of the anime I like is watched online as well. The dubbed stuff on tv sucks.

House has been my favourite show for years even though it's becoming more and more like a soap opera.

Firefly was an excellent SciFi series, but I think they're done making those :'( They did make a movie though, called Serenity, and it was awesome too.
