 Steam
Is anyone else here a user of Steam? Most of my PC games are composed from Steam's game library and I play most of them from it. Most notably Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, etc. If you feel like sharing your Steam name, post it here and share it with others.

 Re: Steam
I recently got the orange box for the PC and it's pretty cool. I'm pretty good at those multiplayer games i guess. I usually get games where I just play by myself.

My steam is Stufreddy. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198010900286/games These are the games I own. I can't play online until I get a better internet service but that shouldn't take too long. (I hate bell)

 Re: Steam
I'm rather uncomfortable joining online steam games, as I don't know if their if they're private or clan games. Usually I get booted out within five seconds, or am asked kindly to leave, so I just don't bother anymore.

 Re: Steam
Yes. Also, I was thinking. Since some of us here already own L4D2 (on the PC, that is), we could get together at a specific time to group up and play cooperatively. Anyone feel like scheduling a "playdate" for a HikiCulture Co-op Night? Same can be said for any other Steam game. TF2 or CS:S for example.

I already told you but I'm down for a scheduled HC game night whenever! I've got most source multiplayer games besides Counter Strike 1.6 so I'm almost set for whatever people want to play.

http://steamcommunity.com/id/Tobi4444Here you go, I keep my profile private, but theres an"add to friends list"- function on the right. I have some games like Half Life and Left 4 Dead (2), but most of the time I play gmod (over 500 hours now ;p).

 Re: Steam
since HL2 valve begnis to become like EA they dont care about the community anymore. i am playing games always in english since the language sounds cooler with more action - and besides all german games are cut -.- so i was in the US-steam shop (my steam is in english too) and i bought L4D in ENGLISH, also checked if its cut but there was nothing like this in the description. but when it finished downloading it was german AND cut, i told them and they just told me: we can only sell the german version to german user since the german laws tell us so. but thats not even true they are just too dumb to understand the trading laws they accepted themselves. german law says that no german shop may sell uncut games to the public but it doesnt say you are not allowed to buy it elsewhere. i always buy uncut games from the uk or usa. also i wasnt allowed to get my money back to buy it uncut again because the steam license aggreement says so. now what they do with this agreement is AGAINST our trading laws. if you want to trade in germany you have to accept the right that every person has the chance to give a product back for 14 days - if he has a reason for it. but they just ignored that because they know i cannot do something about it, the police wouldnt care to move their ass because of 50 euro. they are a bunch of over-capitalists charging too high prizes (what costs 40 pounds in the uk costs 40 euro in germany thats just LOL like the double price) while not even knowing the trading laws they accepted themselves.
thats also the reason why i didnt buy l4d2. im gonna crackcopy the hell out of steam
on the other hand i bought company of heroes and couldnt play it for two years since the support didnt care i had o buy it again as hardcopy from the uk

 Re: Steam
not to mention l4d2 is nothing more than a money maker, they could have easily updated l4d1 but of course charging 50 euro for the same game again just because of 200mb new stuff is better for their capitalist asses.
id love to play l4d2 but i stand by my priorities. i can sometimes have the account of a friend to play it
... makes me angry just to think about it

 Re: Steam

 Re: Steam
That's sad, I was really surprised when I first heard about the state of video games in Germany, a friend of mine from Germany, who comes to Canada to see me every year always has extreme trouble finding the games that I show him. He always wants to borrow them because he either can't find them in Germany, or they're so heavily edited it's not worth getting them. It's a damn shame steam screwed you though, I miss the old days of region-less interwebs. Now it's "this is not available in your country". Killing Floor is a good game though, different vibe then the L4D series.
