So, Age of Conan survived? Last thing I heard was almost 2 years ago when I played Warhammer Online for a couple of months. A lot of people joined that game after leaving Conan, saying the servers were dead and the game on the verge of bankruptcy of something.

How I wish Diablo 3 would come, どんなにいいだろう・・・・

rumors of kids that have no clue about anything else than world of warcraft. there was an add-on released just a few months ago for age of conan

AoC still got around 200k-300k of players and thats pretty normal for mmorpgs that do not go by the name world of warcraft. wow is the arc-enemy of oldschool mmorpg players since it brought assholes and kiddies of all kinds into mmorpg gaming. i remember back years before wow the games were more underground and much different. more of a community and less gear-based. but the communities of all mmos changed since wow was released.... - to the bad. it feels like singleplayer where you can do group quests if you find someone. when i was still playing dark age of camelot 7 years ago it was very very different.

I hate WoW for pretty much the same reasons. It made flame wars standard and everything was about the gear. I'm the type of player who will put extreme care into my characters and play as a nolifer for months to make the best of them, but in WoW someone could just log on for a raid every now and then and make their character equal to someone who spent a lot of time on his... I hated it.

I think a guild should ask players to join them because the players are living legends within the game, with extreme skills they built up over long time. Not the other way around, people need to ask a guild for permission to improve their character to the most and send in applications like for a real life job just so a bunch of leet IT students can trashtalk them before they decide to abuse their services or not. I played in server first guilds, some were top 200 in Europe, in WoW and I hated every second of it.

Before I did all the high raids with a top guild I got a character to rank 14 in original WoW, but because I didn't want to submit to the flame war and stupid guild culture/server community etc I became ignored by everyone "who counts" but some sort of Robin Hood icon among the noobs because I used to help anyone with anything.

Only reason I'm looking forward to Diablo 3 is that it's hopefully as single player friendly as Diablo 2.

I understand completely. This will be my last off-topic btw so don't worry. I also take every chance to rant about my bitter experiences of how MMOs have developed.

If Diablo 3 becomes a game where solo players have to stand outside the entrance to a boss chamber for an hour or more and see hordes of people with guild tags above their names flooding in, followed by server spam messages "lolol... XX down... *links loot*", I swear I'll never play a Blizzard game again no matter if it's an rpg, strategy game or whatever.

Really good game so far. Been wanting to play it since I was a kid. I'd read about it in a videogame magazine, but I couldn't play it since there wasn't a translated rom for it yet (it was only released in Japan until being ported to Game Boy Advance in 2003 with the new title "Mega Man & Bass").

I think I'll start playing Seiken Densetsu 3 instead:





It's a Squaresoft RPG that was only released in Japan, and is pretty much a sequel to Secret of Mana (some North Americans call it "Secret of Mana 2"), so I can't go wrong with it. I like side-scrollers quite a bit, but RPGs are a lot more enjoyable to me.

I own Seiken Densetsu 3 for Super Famicom, Chair. I'm planning on using it for Japanese language practice eventually. I love the SD series.

I can't believe that you guys can play games with filters enabled. It looks too cartoonish for my liking, and doesn't look anything at all at how games looked on the Super Nintendo. But if you're content with it, I guess it doesn't matter.

Here are my settings:



For filters, I just use "Interpolation". I also put a check beside "Triple Buffering" and "Use 4:3 Ratio".

Anyone have a link to where I can download a virus free version of ZSNES? The one I had before had a virus in it my antivirus said.

Also, about the settings... How do I do to get it to hide the desktop without choosing full screen?
