I've been deep in FFXI again since people talked me into coming back. I spent years working toward the hat in that picture, so I guess I might as well put it to use! Since I pretty much quit the day I got it.

Re: Post a picture of a video game you're playing  Rift with everything turned to lowest except textures shadows and effects. easier to play that way when there's 3 raid groups fighting the same world boss. i'll get one of full setting when I get better armor..

Re: Post a picture of a video game you're playing Yes I am. The world itself is beautiful and intriguing. I like exploring it. The mechanics however... are warcraft, It's not a wow clone, it literally IS warcraft.
But then it's not. The players at least on my server are sickenly polite. To point I want to troll them allllll the time. And the class system is unique to anything before.
The Rifts, which basically are the world being attacked by fucking tentacles from the sky every 5 minutes, can sometimes be annoying. I joined in with the
mass groups of people trying to grind their planarite in the first zone but lately I've just been avoiding them so I can quest. Which is hard at times...
Overall it's strange. To be honest I have no idea why it's as popular as it is. Really, it's nothing new at all. The main thing that keeps dragging me back is the world design.
It's very good, and I'm incredibly picky about that. The rest is high quality.. but not inspiring.
