I can send it to you with a bunch of great games.

Also, about the settings... How do I do to get it to hide the desktop without choosing full screen?

Not sure what you mean. Why would you not want to play it in full-screen?

Please do on MSN.

I've tried full-screen and it becomes too rough imo. Maybe it's my graphics card resolution I have in Windows that's the problem. The detail level becomes horrible.

That's what I meant. Thanks. I just wanted a black border like that.

That game looks so good.

I started playing Terranigma for the first time. I'm liking it -- especially the graphics.

This game is so good.

River City Ransom + Double Dragon + Canadian Awesomeness = Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game.

I never got into any Arksys fighters but Blazblue looked really tempting. I don't really know much about it though, except that Rachel is awesome for her Mary Poppins-esqueness. I prefer more feedback when you hit somebody really, which is why I always shied away from Guilty Gear. Combos seem so low key in Arksys games.

I'm currently emulating The Legendary Starfy for DS. It reminds me of Kirby a lot.

Is there a woman at a pier at the start of that game who says something like, "I wish my hair would flow in the breeze like yours." I have a vague memory of a game which my brother used to play to exhaustion and its been bothering me for ages that I couldn't recall the title. I think that's it though! It was something to do with the Earth anyway.

I never liked it half as much as he did but I still have fond memories of being bored to death watching him play, and wondering when it would be my turn again.

That reminds me of Illusion Of Gaia for some reason, which just happens to be the game that came before Terranigma in that "trilogy". Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

I can't get over how much fun Starfy is. I'm going to download the older games in the series even though I can't read much Japanese. It's like a perfect mix between Kirby and MapleStory. I love it!

As you can see, I'm stretching my powerful new gaming PC to its limits by playing Final Fantasy VI on it. (I was part way through when I got my new computer and I'm not letting anything stand in my way of completing this playthrough...)

That game is SO good. I need the GBA version in japanese. I already have it in 2 different versions in english, PS1 and GBA. I used to own an NTSC imported SNES copy from back when it was called FFIII in the US.

Yeah it's a good one. I don't know why it took me so long to get around to it, but this was my first time playing it. After having a lot of trouble finding a working ROM, I ended up going with the old FFIII SNES version, which I hear isn't a very good translation. I plan on playing through it again some time on a translated Japanese ROM. It's nice that you understand Japanese well enough to play it without any translation; I'm sure that's the best way to experience it.

I don't think the FFIII Ted Woolsey translation was that bad tbh. Maybe I'm biased because I played it and loved it as a 12 year old. Some dialogue I remember changed was the famous "how do we know for sure unless we observe for ourselves?". Another famous one was "The world before the fall, Lovely is the light of dawn, Noble is the heart of man".

The FFIII translation of IV is so full of legendary quotes it's hard to remember them all.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0210061/quotes

About japanese games in original language. The way things are expressed is so different from english that a free translation is really the only way to go. There aren't direct translations for a lot of stuff, so all translation has to be focused on maintaining the essence of things.
Never played it but for FFVI/III, I can imagine a major thing lost in translation would be Cayenne/Cyan since he in the original no doubt uses a formal style of language unique to japanese and is a very culturally "japanese" character overall in his personality. In the english version he becomes quite weird imo and it's super obvious just from playing in english that the translator had to improvise a lot to create some sort of functioning personality for him. It's not clear to english speaking players what his "politeness" is all about etc or why he speaks in some olden british english. I even heard from a brit (the translation was done by an american) the use of the word "thou" as formal polite is in fact incorrect, or something like that.

Just Cause 2 - This game is a lot of fun. Relatively good graphics and an enormous free-roam map; takes about 5 minutes to fly a jet from one corner of the map to the other.
