Do you wish you were a rock star?

I sometimes wish I was a rock star making great music and earning loads of money.

I don't exactly listen to rock music, but I think I'd like to be a musician. I have no creativity for that, though. Cheatar1 is a very good musician though.

I'd fucking love it.

I'd love to make music, but not perform it or worry about making money. Kind of just sit at home churning out music for me and others to enjoy.

Would you make death metal? You could be the first one-man death metal band.

I was thinking more acoustic, avant-garde, shoegazey black metal with both harsh and clean vocals. And of course, I would need to have a cyber grind/noise collaboration just because everyone does.

I would make music, but I'm not ambitious enough. I'm happy writing my poetry/prose, and honestly enjoy ranting about useless things.

No, that would be way too much for me. Too many people, too many bright lights, too much overstimulation. I'd be far to overwhelmed. But I would love to be a successful author. Even that would be overwhelming, but far easier to cope with than being a rock star or musician.

There are times when I think why don't I do that? If I had really wanted to be one, I'm sure I would have.

People love rock stars. You may think you'd be nervous as a rock star - some people are. But for me, knowing that my fans loved me would give me a huge confidence boost. Sure, there'd be haters, but not everyone can like you.

When it comes to drugs/alcohol - I would do them in moderation, and would avoid most of the serious drugs. I definitely would drink, since I enjoy drinking, and maybe smoke pot, but I'd try to not go overboard. I've realized that far too many people overindulge when it comes to alcohol/pot - they'd rather get drunk as hell, or high as a kite than drink/smoke a small amount, yet they'd feel a better buzz by not overindulging. When it comes to pot especially, the high is a lot better when you take three hoots or so, enjoy the buzz for an hour or two, then repeat. Your weed lasts longer, the high feels better, and you don't get burnt out so much. I find it ridiculous to smoke an entire joint/a few bowls in one sitting - it makes you paranoid, you can't learn anything, you zone out constantly, and when the high wears off, you're totally burnt out.

I've love to get on stage and play heavy metal to a crowd of screaming fans and show off with some screaming guitar solos.

Sadly I have no musical talent and the anxiety of the lifestyle and performing would be too much for me. I can still dream though. :P

It would be nice if musicians typically made a lot of money, but there are very few who do, even among the famous ones. It's not exactly a reliable source of income from a long-term perspective.

As for the attention aspect, I enjoy performing, and talking to people about music. But I hate all the scene / industry politics.

Yea, I even have a guitar! Learned like a few chords and gave up, I'm pretty stupid when it comes to self learning, or learning in general.

I think being a rockstar would be pretty awesome. I don't know if I could handle it, though. It might be a little too much. But then again, maybe not. I dunno. But I love music and ever since I was a kid I've had fantasies of being one.

At least I'd never go to prison for drugs.

I'd be okay playing guitar for a living like that. Don't care about how popular I was as long as I could make a living.

I wish I was a virtuoso guitarist, but not a rock star. I would want the approval of my idols though.

The paparazzi would kill me. Or at least drive me to kill myself. As for drugs/alcohol, I'd take some and realize they weren't as awesome as I thought.

I expect to be a known musician eventually. not a big star I guess, just known in a small field. I think it would be nice to be known for something you've made, but I would probably avoid celebrity status if I had a choice.
