Hello. I think I have Asperger's, though it's never been formally Dx'd in me. I live in my room where I paint, watch TV, and spend time online. I'm pretty certain that I have avoidant personality disorder (if this post is turning into a list of symptoms, my apologies). Anyway, I'm glad to be here.

Hi everyone
NoLife is my second name.
I`m Hikkikomori from 2 years. I didn`t know that there is more peoples who do not going out from rooms till last week when I found the word hikikomori in wikipedia. Now I know that there are milions of antisocial peoples like me with the same problem around the world. It gives me new motivation to finish this madness and go back to life, escape from this mind trap. By the last two years I left my room only for 70 hours. My life = two things: sleeping & computer and nothing more. One time per week I going out to buy some food and this is all. World forget about me, even system. I have no job, I`m not a student, I don`t pay any taxes. Nobody remember me even family. Probably I`m not even exist anymore.

Hi, I was or am a Hiki, I don't know. I do go outside now, I can eat at restaurants. But I don't think you ever stop being one. Like being a "sober alcoholic," who hasn't had alcohol for years but still goes to support groups.

I was isolated and supported by my parents for several years. I'm still supported by my parents, but I go to school to get my GED and continue to college.

I remember just leaving my room for food, anything else like peeing I did in my room using bottles.

First of all, I like your avatar, Welcome to the N.H.K. touched me too. Cause it illustrates our lives so perfectly... There is hope, I got out. I'm scarred for life, it shaped me as a man. I'm going to watch that anime again.

Found this site looking for some information on how others who follow my lifestyle make it, I guess. Just call me Doot; all my friends (online) do. I haven't been into active forum posting in awhile, but I'm pretty sure I could stick around this one more than just for asking one question like I often do on message boards...
