Same here. I never tell anyone in "real life" about my internet habits.
If they found out too much about me, I might have to resort of exterminating them.

I once commented to a friend about "this forum for reclusives and depressives" (he's not very literate in things of psycology so i had to resume) and commented on the name, i didn't think he would be very interested tought (i hardly think he joined either).

my brother once saw the name of a forum that i use to frequent. one day he came up to me with a grin on his face and said... so did you find a nice place to nap to at school today? there were only 1000 registered users and maybe 50 active users. so it wasnt hard to pick me out of a crowd. that was my venting site too... i left a message in the forums that i would literally kill my brother in a fit of rage if he didnt give me space. he would most likely try to find out who i was on this forum and mock me about it. of course if he did find out who i was he might just finally back the fuck off once he realizes just how truly disturbed i am. heck i actually hold back ALOT when im posting.

Only my former roommate, he did not seem to care because he really did not listen to me regardless of what I would say.

my boyfriend knows (but I think if he feel better with his language skills he would join) but he's reclusive and enjoys to stay at home and is socially amkward too. I told about this forum to one of my online friends from other forum in Poland - she registered here but I don't know she'll start to write here. we were talking about social amkwardness and being reclusive - in Poland I didn't found any similar place to HC, so I told her about to think to join beacuse she would enjoy.

I think my choice in user name to display was a bit bad though, considering it is an identifiable name to me and I am worried that if someone googled shadewell they'll start to find me posting here. I'm not so concerned that I want to ask an admin to change my name however.

I changed the topic immediately to something the screenlooker was obsessed with, though, and am 90% sure that by doing this topic change any time the subject of what I do on the internet comes up, I may have made said forsaken screenlooker forget about most of it.
