 Re: Your biggest phobia?
Emetophobia, the fear of vomiting or others doing so. Catching an illness like the flu or something similar. Anything illness, even having a normal headache or stomach twinge sends me into panic mode.
I also have a less severe irrational fear of moths and crane flies.

 Re: Your biggest phobia?
I have a fear of getting sick, too. And despite the fact that I’m hikikomori, I have this fear of being left with no money outside my apartment. Since I hate to ask for help and would rather die than ask. Therefore, a fear of being left with no money anywhere in the city or, worse yet, in a foreign country - this is my regular nightmare from time to time. I also have a fear of talking about my fears, cause I think if I say it out loud, then it’s gonna happen for sure

 Re: Your biggest phobia?
The telephone/a mobile phone, I hate talking to people when I can't see their face. I can't pick up the phone when it rings, I can't call anyone other than my mum, my dad and my gran either. My hands get all clammy and I totally panic, it's ridiculously, uncontrollably irrational ^^'' It's not so much a phobia, because I can smother it to an extent, but I'm terrified of men in RL,I think maybe, it's because of a few bad experiences. I don't dislike/hold anything against men, nor am I a particular feminist, but they scare me so much ^^;;;;;

Wow, I thought I would be the only one with this fear, how simmilar. I havent used a mobile in about 3 years now because of it. I dislike using the housephone too. Worst inventions ever.

 Re: Your biggest phobia?
No waay, you too?! Ah, I'm glad (although I guess I shouldn't be, in the context that it's fear we're talking about) that we're similar in that fact. I've only ever owned 1 mobile, which I never use, and if I do, it's for texts only, I haven't used a phone to call anyone other than my mum, dad or gran for 5 years. I agree with you completely; "Worst inventions ever."

Humans. 2nd place would be a statistical tie between lightning, high places, insects, tornadoes, heart attacks, confinement, and phones.

Storms. The Midwest tornado outbreak did this to me, that tornado that destroyed Joplin, MO (I live about an hour from Joplin) didn't help.

Earth worms are kewl. Parasitic ones not so much... My phobias are spiders and the dark. Spiders more so. My biggest fears? People not liking me. Presentations. (Or are these phobias? But they seem more rational. Maybe not the presentation one...)

 Re: Your biggest phobia?
New and exciting irrational fears in the life of memento:
-The well going bad and it slowly poisoning me to death -Tainted city water -Tainted food -Bedbugs -Glasses exploding inwards and skewering my eyeballs -Deadly rashes -Liver failure -Kidney failure -Parasites -Crypids hiding in the woods behind my house, waiting to spring out and maul me when I'm walking from the car to the garage -Sudden noises and movements -Open doors -Raised blinds at night
I think twice before I drink anything these days. : /

 Re: Your biggest phobia?
People mostly. I mean I do have a few people I don't feel scared around. But basically anyone I don't know very well, in those situations I can't talk unless they engage me in a conversation and even then, it's tough till I get to know them. I'm especially afraid of romantic or personal conversations. And of course Arachnids, snake, insect, as well as supernatural things ._. I'm terrified of terrifying things.

 Re: Your biggest phobia?
Mushrooms.
When I think about social situations (which then is probably my second worst phobia)... it doesn't even compare. When I see mushrooms in reality, I panic, freeze, it's just extreme fear. If I see pictures of mushrooms, it is not quite as bad but still very difficult to deal with. I don't know where this phobia came from and I do not really have any interest in trying to combat it.

Darkness and Ghosts.
I'm terrified of them. Maybe the child inside me hasn't grown up yet.
That, and death.
I can't begin to describe how terrified I am of death...

Escalators, not stairs, just escalators. I theorize that my brain goes in panic mode and begins to think "Holy shit! What kind of sorcery is this, moving stairs?!"

 Re: Your biggest phobia?
Being stuck in a small room with many people without a chance of escape. Worst case scenario.
followed by (in order): - forgetting about my last relationship and falling in love anew - myself - open doors

 Re: Your biggest phobia?
Bambakomallophobia. Fear of cotton wool. Fear might be too strong a word, the stuff is pretty easy to avoid after all. It's not going to creep up on me and smother me to death. But I really can't stand the stuff, touching it feels horrible, tearing it feels even worse. I'm fine with snakes and spiders - which are after all quite rational phobias to have - and I think I'd rather handle a tarantula than a ball of cotton wool. I can't say it's much of a disability. It's not like I had to give up a promising career in the cotton wool manufacturing industry because of my aversion. And like I said, it's not really fear, it's just that the stuff is fucking disgusting. I can't imagine what sort of childhood trauma might have made me feel like this.

 Re: Your biggest phobia?
a lot of things i fear are more paranoia than anything else. that someone is poisoning my food or water or air. blindness deafness amputation sleeping cutting my nails being trapped anywhere (things that leave me defenseless, apparently ) uh... unlike most, i love spiders, they're wonderful.

 Re: Your biggest phobia?
Me too, kind of. Although more appropiate would be to say is that i'm convinced females hate me or that they are disgusted towards me, kind of like if i were the Phantom of the Opera.

 Re: Your biggest phobia?
I get that feeling sometimes, but most of the time it's just a feeling of being discarded because I don't have anything in common with girls.
