I hate that comparison with a passion.. evolution != magic. That peanut butter simply lacks the ability and necessity to develop or evolve into new life. Evolution by natural selection is fact. ;)

Lol. In direct response to Mr. Peanut Butter man:

And MidnightLight: yes... I would say that's a good reason. :omg

Yeah I don't blame you. I have no idea why things look creepier the deeper they reside.

Well, I don't know that I really have any TRUE phobias anymore. I used to be phobic of wasps and the like because I have been swarmed.

Me too. I'd be so scared to be swimming in the middle of the ocean and knowing there's miles of water underneath me.

Also, vaginas (but I'm not gay). :unsure

Post Re: Your biggest phobia?
Well, this phobia has been developing since November for me, but I basically have an intense fear of vomiting in public. I've vomited twice in public, causing trauma, and almost did so a few times after I ate. I still have to go to the doctor to get my stomach checked out completely (there is something obviously wrong with me), but for now I'm on generic medication for stomach issues. However, the trauma is still there, so I simply cannot and will not eat in public, in fear that I might vomit right after. So, I always take my meals "on the go" to my dorm room and eat. It used to be worse, however. At some point I went to the ER, so for three weeks after, I refused to eat meals besides chicken soup and Gatorade. I was afraid to eat in general. But three weeks of practically not eating isn't good, so after almost collapsing, I mustered up the courage to eat meals again. It's been about two weeks now of meals, which I only eat twice on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and once a day for the rest of the week.

I don't like being afraid of eating or vomiting after I eat, but there's not much I can do until I know what's wrong with me. So, for now, I have to awkwardly continue going to a crowded college cafeteria, balance my food, and try not to look into the cashiers' eyes (they've clearly picked up that I refuse to eat there anymore). On a lighter note, my roommates have opted to get take-out with me, so that I don't eat alone all the time, which is very sweet of them and I do appreciate it. I don't mind eating alone (I generally watch people outside my window since I have a good view), but knowing that my roommates care enough to eat with me makes the remaining weeks of school bearable until I'm cured.

i'm terrified of going to the dentist. when i was about eight or nine the dentist we went to pulled six of my teeth without any anesthesia. i screamed and cried the entire time and my mom was beyond pissed because i had embarrassed her so then i took a beating from her when we got home. it wasn't until later when my dad actually looked at the teeth that were pulled and saw that none needed to be in the first place i saw some empathy. i haven't gone back to the dentist since and am too afraid to.
i'm afraid of cockroaches, always have been.

Thank you. I'm doing much better than I was a few weeks ago. I sort of take it a little bit at a time, with a "fear hierarchy" in mind. So, today, I managed to eat in a Thai restaurant--in that I ate half a dish and took the rest home because I started to get anxious about it, but hey, a half a meal in public is progress! I still don't think I'll be able to eat in my school's cafeteria until next year, but I don't know. I think once I know what's wrong with me, I'll make better progress. :grin

My friend also hates seeing people on the streets. She always hides behind me whenever she spots someone she goes to school with or used to. :confused

Having a grand mal seizure in a public place or while I'm driving a car (with a serious traffic accident as a result) or in front of that one person that I loved so much and for whom I had wanted to be as infallible as possible. :cry2

Eating in front of people is also a phobia of mine.

People. Specifically people looking at me, thinking about me, judging me. Other than that I'm pretty fearless.

It might help to remind yourself that most of these creatures are actually pretty small. They tend to look creepier the deeper you get because they developed up in such a different environment. Extreme cold, darkness and pressure lead to pale and wrinkled bodies, big empty eyes that can catch the slightest glimpse of sunlight or bioluminisence, (some of them are blind though)... I don't know what the enormous crooked teeth are needed for.

Hah, don't worry:

This is intensely amusing... and a bit frightening.

As far as phobias go:

Notepad wrote:
time.

This

Drowning
And I have a large and nearly unjustified dread of letterboxes.

The rest I would rather call fears:

Humiliate myself in front of a person that I respect deeply
Not being able to escape the vicious cycle of my incapability to become happy (I do feel happy occasionally, but most of the time I am full of anger, hatred and sadness)
Actually being unable to work a job longer than a year
Heights
Doing things I can't remember shortly after (wich happens a lot recently and without any antoxication)
Being generaly unable to uphold a proper relationship
Dying alone
Having to lay my parents or my brother to rest
Becoming fat again
(Every other week) leaving my house, room, answering the phone and/or seeing my flatmate in the hallway or kitchen
Being diagnosed with a deadly disease

If someone jells at me or is aggressive...it remains me on my parents. :thumbsdown I get so afraid, I would hide somewhere and just cry. :thumbsdown I wish I had more self confident. :-/ If someone jells at me I think suddenly that it is my fault...that I´m guilty :-/

5. Myself
4. Social anything: I'm constantly worried about how I look, smell, am perceived,
or having my personal space violated.
3. Human goo. Anything they've shed, oozed, or exhaled
2. Aging
