 Dragon Cave
I notice that at least 4 members have Dragon Cave dragons. In fact, I got into DC by clicking on a member's sig, and now I'm hooked. Hoping of starting a lineage of dragons with mostly music-related names. And I'm starting to get into descriptions too.
Anyway, if you play with Dragon Cave, what do you think of it, and what do you do with it, and what are your favorite dragons?
(Ooooh, my eggs are all hatching!)

 Re: Dragons Cave
Well, I decided to jump into that game. The dragons are just adorable. edit: Ah I forgot... what will become of the dragons if they're .... grown-up?

 Re: Dragons Cave
You can see mine here: http://dragcave.net/user/nonentityand then click on "forum" to see more discussion of dragons. Or click on a specific dragon of mine and then "View Lineage" if that option is available. Once dragons are adults, they can be bred, producing up to 4 eggs (but you can only keep 1). Unlike hatchlings, adults cannot be stolen. Perhaps the most fun of all is that you can write a personal description for each of your adult dragons. Click on my dragon, Sky Saxon (named after the singer in The Seeds, who passed away this past year) to see the description of him that I wrote. In my opinion, the dragons are the most fun when they're adults.

Aww, thanks for the help! The lineage is a great idea. Now I can't wait for my eggs to hatch.

Yeah, it's like a great feeling when I play Dragon Cave. It's always a marvel to collect your own eggs and dragons, and when you can acquire a rare, gifting some rares to people.
It's like a spread of joy and it makes me feel real good. 8D

 DRAGCAVE DISCUSSION!
For the dragcave fans out there. Her we can discuss trading, BSA(breed specific actions), breeding attempts, speculations, etc.
So, apparently there will be more dimorphism(difference in appearance between genders), a new BSA(teleport?), and new breeds coming up soon.
Damn, I'm excited. How about the rest of you?!
EDIT: Also, dragcave is down right now for the updates~

 Re: Dragon Cave
We've got a Dragon Cave topic already - so I merged your post with this topic, Soulless. What's a BSA?

 Re: Dragon Cave
Wow, all of a sudden, the males of some of my breeds look different from the females. Nice.
I'm also excited about the new breeds. Are they the ones people having been working on in the spriting section of the DC forum or is that more like a separate fan game?

 Re: Dragon Cave
They're the ones people work on for spriting. Also Ivory, if you're scroll-free then PM me sometime and I'll send you a vamp. I have too many BSA = breed specific action. Pink dragons can influence an egg to be a certain gender, red dragons can incubate and egg and shave off a day, etc. The new BSA is between the trio dragons (thunder, magma, icicle) and it's called summon. Apparently is 'summons' a new dragon when you have all three dragons on your scroll. It also seems to have a very low success rate >_>

 Re: Dragon Cave
Also, Green Dragons can Earthquake all your eggs, which may cause them to hatch earlier or may kill them.
Soulless, yeah, I'd like a vamp or two. It's not a high priority for me because vamps can't breed and I'm collecting mostly for breeding purposes right now. But it would be fun to name them. Sometime when I expect not to be online much, I'll free up my scroll and PM you.
Which breeds are considered "rares"? Even in the DC forum, they don't fully explain this.

 Re: Dragon Cave
Anyone knows what's with those Easter eggs? Are they only decorative or are they able to hatch? I tried to check the forum but couldn't find the answer...

 Re: Dragon Cave
I was wondering the same thing. I bet if one asked on the forum, they'd get an answer. Personally, I'm too lazy right now to pose the question myself.

 Re: Dragon Cave
Oh, here's the answer: http://forums.dragcave.net/index.php?showtopic=87658Yes, we get to keep the eggs! And the implication is that they will hatch and grow into dragons. And we can keep as many as we find - no limit. I also noticed that the limit for regular eggs and hatchlings is 6 today instead of 4. Yay, Festival of Eggs!

 Re: Dragon Cave
No prob. Woohoo! I have 13 of the festival eggs now! However, I fear there is going to be some kind of twist on this festival thing once the egg-collecting stage is over. (They sure aren't letting on much on the forum). It's interesting that this egg festival coincided with temporarily allowing people to have more eggs and hatchlings on their scrolls - sort of encouraging people to become "scrollocked". I wonder if we're gonna have to choose Festival Eggs to keep based on how much room we have on our scrolls. (Example: if you have 2 eggs and a hatchling, you'd have to pick 1 of the Festival Eggs to keep and allow to mature . . . ). I hope I'm wrong. I want to keep all my festival eggs.

I just started with this game and I'm still figuring things out. But you can find my current eggs in my signature - it would be very much appreciated if you guys could help me out with them.

 Re: Dragon Cave
Sure, no problem. It seem there is nothing special about the Easter Eggs in the end. Or did I miss something...?

 Re: Dragon Cave
I got bored of DC after a while because I ran out of new breeds to add to my collection (out of the ones I could find, that appealed to me) and my breeding success rate was about 5%. Plus it seemed like only the most boring breeds in my collection would breed with each other.
But I might have a look at the site again soon, see if there are any appealing eggs in the cave or if I can breed any interesting combo's.
It's too bad the Easter eggs won't hatch, but that was fun while it lasted.

 Re: Dragon Cave
W00t, my first egg hatched! I hope he or she will make it to adulthood. It's a pity one cannot see the gender once they have hatched, now I have to wait until he or she is mature before I can give him/her a name (I don't want to give him/her a unisex name). I just hope that not giving my hatchling a name until he/she hits adulthood won't harm his/her chances of growing up, though.

 Re: Dragon Cave
Hehe... that was my first mistake when I started Dragon Cave. I was so happy about my first hatchling and gave him a quite male name but in the end it turned out it's a female. And no, there is no disadvantage for not giving names to your hatchlings - it's alright. (There are some adult dragons (pink ones, for example) who can use their influence to increase chances about eggs becoming male or female. Just for your information in the future...)

 Re: Dragon Cave
Thank you, that is good to know. So far, I have named only one dragon - still pondering on suitable names for my other dragon and the soon-to-arrive hatchlings. I now have two adult dragons, by the way - do they still need clicks, views and unique views, like the eggs and hatchlings? Or are they pretty much immortal once they are grown up and I log in on Dragon Cave everyday? I know that adult dragons die when you haven't logged in for several weeks, but I'm not sure about what happens if I still log in every day but don't post the codes of my adult dragons on the fan sites. If you don't mind, then it would be appreciated if you could shed some more light on that.
