 Re: Dragon Cave
Yes, the adults are practically immortal and don't need clicks/views anymore. To be exact, these counting numbers will stop once they're grown up. I've been using Dragon Cave for some months now and my adult kids are still alive. (Though I can't really say what will happen to the adults if I'm not checking my scroll anymore. I checked it everyday. *still addicted*)

 Re: Dragon Cave
Pffff, it irritates me that the game is so time-consuming - it'd be much more fun to play if eggs took only 2-3 days to hatch and grow up, and if you didn't have to camp out for hours at the cave entrance in order to get the egg that you desire (I want cave-borns only, so that I can start my own lineages if I so wish). I bet the website owner is making loads of money from all the page refreshes, though. Oh well. I hope that my little Skywing egg is a male, so that I can at least start breeding Two-Finned Blunas (which are one of my favourite dragon species) once he has grown up.

 Re: Dragon Cave
I discovered DC the same way. I'm still fairly new with this game, but I find it very entertaining. I have a thing for dragons! I haven't been around long enough to decide on my fave dragon. It seems like it's possible to breed different kinds of dragons. Is there any advantage/disavantage to mixing breeds? Do any of you know? PS! please be kind to my little ones. I click on all the eggs/hatchlings I see in sigs. (hint, hint). BTW, on the scroll I'm Tirijamba, on the forum I'm Dragomon.

 Re: Dragon Cave
Sure, I always click on yours, too. About breeding... I hate it when the dragons don't show interests in each other or no egg is produced. You should better read at the descriptions about the dragons when they're adults. Some dragons can only breed within their own mates and there are also hints which could tell you about the chances breeding your dragon with another. You can also create new eggs by breeding special dragons like the seasonal dragons. That's all what I know for now. I'm only concreating on building up line-ages. I love line-ages. This here is my "biggest". And I'm also quite conservative - I won't allow a male breed with a lot of females.

 Re: Dragon Cave
From what I know, the degree in which a dragon is common is a factor in how successful breedings can be. And like Mikan already said before me, some dragons can only breed with their own species. This goes for Ochredrake Dragons and Two-Headed Dragons, for example. Also, some dragon species have the same egg description (e.g. "This egg has strange markings on it" for Skywing Dragons, Ochredrake Dragons, Horse Dragons and formerly Frilled Dragons), which can be annoying when you want to grab a cave-born egg of only one of those species. Also, some dragon species can only be bred - you won't be able to get them from the cave (i.e. cave-born). This goes for Two-Finned Blunas, for example - you will only be able to get them if you breed a Skywing Dragon with either a Water Dragon or a Deep Sea Dragon. Once you have a male and a female of the Two-Finned Bluna, then you will of course be able to further breed more of that species by breeding them together. I recommend for you to take a look at the Dragon Cave Wiki ( click here!), that should give you a lot of information and answer any further questions that you may have. I clicked on yours - good luck with raising your little fellows! Both my scroll name and my username on the Dragon Cave forum is Duysterwald.

 Re: Dragon Cave
I got back into DC today after a much-needed break. Got 3 cave-born eggs, and bred 2 of my cave-born dragons, successfully producing an egg. That one with the scales on it is (IIRC) the second one I've produced by breeding 2 of my CB dragons with names consistent with my lineage. So now I'm happy about my remarkably successful return to DC. My lineage is gonna be awesome!

 Re: Dragon Cave
Thanks! And nice scroll, Skilpadde. We seem to have similar taste in breeds. Looks like you're off to a good start!
Isn't naming them fun?

 Re: Dragon Cave
Thanks! Not as impressive as yours (yet! ) but I haven't been at it for very long so... Yeah, naming them is fun; I take my time though to find the right name that feels right. There are so many beautiful dragons! DC is great! What are your favourite breed(s), fellow DC'ers?

 Re: Dragon Cave
AHHH! They just had a lot of rare eggs in the cave. And I can't get them until the orange dragon grows up before the last egg has hatched... But I guess I couldn't get them... I have a lame connection... *sigh* My favorites: Pink Water Waterhorse Electric Purple White

 Re: Dragon Cave
Have you lost good dragons because of it, Mikan? That's no good. We used to have a really bad connection, the net was on and off all the time.
Glad I ddin't see the rare dragon eggs. I don't have space either. I really must get better at saving a spot for eventual rare ones.

 Re: Dragon Cave
I don't really want to decide what my favorite breeds are until I've been playing the game long enough to have seen all or most of them.
My lineage is based on Electric, which is one of my favorite breeds, and because it has a rock and roll theme ("Electrophonic" lineage).
My other favorite breeds so far are: Nocturne, White, Sunset, Whiptail, Mint, Deep Sea, Pygmy, and Albino.

 Re: Dragon Cave
Well, Skilpadde, if I wanted rare eggs, then it's best if I just had to be online at CEST daytime. There will be less users on DC and the chances to get a rare one are better. You see, 5 mins ago I just managed to get one green lush egg.

I was wondering what those eggs and dragons were.
Decided to jump on in, just grabbed a handful of abandons that looked interesting.

 Re: Dragon Cave
Couting the day I took the egg, most of mine have taken 5 days, a few 6 or 7.

Do the number of views and clicks have an effect on when they will hatch or something?
